Raues Grau

Slim and tall, a forest of sculptures grows up one close to t the other. Partly rough, partly smooth, the cast figurines produce positive as well as negative spaces, rising up in infinite hues of gray. Repetitions and impressions, rough archaic, strict design. It is the inseparable entanglement of figure and architecture the Accomodation of one into the other, the space as preexisting and designed, alternating between inside and outside. The theme of the human in the housing, the human as a housing, the transformation of materiality and spirit. In beauty and in ugliness the secret of the will to form manifests itself brutal and fragile, as a process of arrangement.
