Philipp Kremer

Gathering

At the first glance, power relationships within the colorful utopian community seem to have benn peacefully negotiated on the canvas. With the silent consent of the assembled, an erotic encounter becomes a shared experience. Intimacy, migrated by the spectating, stands in contrast to the formal gesture joining of the picture areas to each other. Philipp Kremer's works are controversial in their form and content and raise questions about perception of proximity and distance, adaption and dissonance.
