Via Lewandowsky

locked-out

Intervention "Locked out" by Via Lewandowsky will be on view in the BARK BERLIN GALLERY`s space at Köthenerstrasse 28, from September 5th to 17th, 2020. During the quarantine period, BARK BERLIN GALLERY was one of the few exhibition spaces that were open to art despite restrictions: the show was always on view in the space, although no visitor was supposed to enter. Via Lewandowsky intervenes into the interior of the gallery during the Berlin Art Week with an ironic artistic gesture and locks the gallerists out of the space, so they are not able to do anything inside it. In this way, he allows the exhibition space to rebel against its own functionality. In this work questions about adaptation and compliance, opposition and resistance are negotiated.
